On World Water Day, we at Delver Agents remember that water is much more than a resource. It is life, it is a human right. However, millions of people around the world still lack access to clean, safe water.
Every drop we save and every measure we take to protect and conserve water contribute to a more sustainable future for all. Let’s make a commitment today to be part of the solution, not the problem.
Every action counts: turning off the tap while brushing our teeth, fixing leaks, reusing water in our daily activities, etc. Small changes in our habits can make a big difference in preserving this resource for future generations.
Join the movement for smart water use, and together let’s build a world where every drop counts!
Some water conservation tips:
- When washing dishes, don’t leave the tap open! Using the plug or a container can save up to 50 liters per wash.
- Avoid hosing off dirty streets and sidewalks and watering gardens during the day.
- Don’t wash your car unnecessarily. If you must, use a bucket to reduce the flow.
- If you have a swimming pool, be sure to add the proper amount of chlorine each day. When the pool is not in use, cover it so it stays free of leaves, dirt, and bugs. This way, the pool stays clean longer and you’ll have to change the water less frequently.
- When brushing your teeth, use a glass of water instead of leaving the tap open. This can save nearly 12 liters per minute.
- Repair any broken, leaky faucets. This saves an average of 170 liters per month.
- Only use washing machines and dishwashers when they are fully loaded, as this can save nearly 25 liters per load.
