Members of Delver Agents — a premier ship agency and supplier serving South America’s Southern Cone and Antarctica — recently completed a CPR course administered by the Volunteer Firefighters of Ushuaia, underscoring Delver’s ongoing commitment to safety in the workplace.
The four-hour course adhered to the strictest international standard and guidelines, combining theory and practice to equip participants with the necessary tools to act in emergency situations.
“It’s important to be prepared for any scenario,” said Delver Managing Director Veronica Baldasso. “We extend our gratitude to the Volunteer Firefighters of Ushuaia for providing the space and expertise necessary for this important staff training.”
Delver’s Lucas Assenti, Rocío Montoya, Nadia Albornoz, Romina Polo, Nico Curvetto, and José Abascal, participated in the course, which covered:
- Scene evacuation
- Recognition of cardiac arrest
- Activation of emergency services
- CPR Techniques and use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- CPR for infants and pregnant women
- Basic first aid: Choking, fainting, seizures, bleeding, stroke, burns, and hypothermia
